The blog that never ends. . .

First and foremost. . .HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY AWESOME SISTER, BETSY!

Let me start by saying. . .I started this blog 2 days ago!  I am in a huge blogging funk right now and I just don't have the time or brain power to blog.  I need to get my blogging mojo back soon!!!!

Anyway, I am usually not an indecisive person.  In fact, I can make decisions fairly quickly if need be.  When I see something that I like, I buy it.  If I see a recipe that looks good, I make it.  When I was pregnant, my kids names came to me so quickly. I had no doubts.   There is no doubt on my huge crush for Adam Levine either!  Yes, I love him :)  However, paint colors?  Completely different story.  I will let you read what I wrote 2 nights ago.  Pretty confident on my colors, right?  Well, just keep reading. . .

Sheesh!  Is it really March 12?!  Life has been crazy. . .Scott gone a ton, Brady not napping, dog pooping all over my carpet, music performances for both girls, painter painting my entire house.  I'm beat.  Put a fork in me. . .I'm done!  All good thing,s though, so I can't complain!  Right now, we are having some serious painting going on in our house.  My head has been spinning the last 5 weeks with paint colors.  I think I drove the guy at Sherwin Williams to drink!  Seriously, I think he would hide under the counter when he saw my car pull up.  I have enough paint samples in my basement to cover a room.  On a side note, did you know. . .the samples at Sherwin Williams are fake paint?!  They wipe off your wall so don't try and go cheap and paint a closet with 5 paint samples!  I drove my family crazy asking their opinion on colors.  I am not the kind of person to look at a color and say, "That's it!  That's the color I'm using in the kitchen!"  Nope.  I tend to pick a color and then proceed to change my mind 10 times until I finally give in and start from scratch.  I thought I had my mind made up in my kitchen.  Softer Tan.  That's what I wanted.  Well. . .I painted it on the wall in many places and lived with it for a few days.  I eventually couldn't stand it!  I knew the painter was starting in 3 days so I went in to panic mode.  All colors got thrown out the window and I started from zero.  Then. . .(cue the soft wonderful music). . .I found Restoration Hardware!

I walked in, purchased a paint deck for $10 which is the best $10 I have spent.  After oohing and aahing over their awesome colors, I came home, picked the three colors that made me happy, painted them on the wall and started singing, "Alleluia!"  Unbelievable colors in the entire paint deck but the three colors I chose are my favorite.

Ready?

Chocolate - family room

Latte - kitchen/foyer

Blue Sage - living room/dining room

Love these colors and can't wait to share them with you in a few weeks!

Now, tonights blog. . .

(Kristin sleeps on her decision and wakes up indecisive. . .AGAIN!)

(Kristin texts her sister, Jennie, at 7am this morning telling her she thinks she is going to change her paint color AGAIN but the painter is coming in 2 hours!  HELP!!!)

(Jennie asks WHY on earth are you changing?!)

(Kristin says she stumbled upon a blog that was exactly the look she was going for.)

(Kristin is now in full on freak out mode!)

(Jennie rushes paint deck over to Kristin's house. . .she borrowed it. . .and thinks Kristin has 5 heads!)

(Kristin rushs to Sherwin Williams and tells them that she's a crazy paint lady who is in desperate need of a perfect paint match!)

(Sherwin Williams matches the color perfectly and asks if I feel better. . .I was a little crazy.)

(Kristin rushes home to give the painter the new paint)

(Kristin leaves the house and crosses her finger her spontanious change of paint colors will look fine)

(Kristin arrives home 4 hours later and LOVES her choice!)

Goodbye Latte, hello Silver Sage. . .

Now, this isn't my house but this is the blog I stumbled upon.
Can't wait to share pictures of MY kitchen :)
Here's hoping I don't change my mind on the rest of the house!!!!

XOXO
